New employee orientation takes place annually in August and is an opportunity for employees who joined VIU in the previous 12 months to connect with key campus programs and services through short presentations and discussions. This event gives new employees the opportunity to meet new colleagues as well as the area experts who can help make your VIU career a success.
New Employee Orientation August 2026
As part of your onboarding, you will be invited to participate in Vancouver Island University’s New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. NEO is designed to introduce you to the university community, key policies, programs, and resources, and support your transition into your new role. The next orientation will take place during the week of August 24, 2026, and attendance is considered paid work time. Additional details, including the date, time, and registration information, will be provided soon.
